Any preference?  Same preference as you had in the 80's?

I assume we are talking about the animated versions?

If so, I'd have to say that I prefer the G.I. Joe movie by default.  The Transformers animated movies is such a load of crap (IMO - calm down, fanboys) that I can't consider it at all.

I watched it last year with my kids and I could tell that even they thought it was pretty lame.  How fitting it is to feature Weird Al's "Dare To Be Stupid"!

I watched the Transformers movie for the first time a few months ago. What a total piece of garbage. I suppose I need to watch G.I. Joe also now. It can't be much worse, can it?

Yeah, animated versions.  I remember seeing them in the 80's, but haven't watched them recently.  Not sure if I've  seen all of the Transformers movie as I'm not sure that one was on TV.

Whoa man you scared me then.

I thought there was another Jerry Bruckheimer movie that sounds good, but makes you fall asleep or think angry thoughts afterwards.

I had all the toys in the 70s.

Makes me remember my Gi Joe with Kung Fu Grip.  I have to dig him out.  I wonder if he is worth anything?

For a second i thought you meant they would be combined in one movie (like the comic book).

Anyway i think there was only one gi joe movie and that was with cobra la or whatever it was.  I thought they were both good movies.
Back in MY day we lived on the moon and we had to build a rocket ship from scratch to get to the Earth before we suffocated.

I still cry when Prime dies.   :'(

I even thought the cobra la stuff was crap when I was a kid.  Ruined cobra commander.  I thought it was still a good movie though.

Production was better on the transformers movie.  I never got too into GI Joe other than the figures.

Transformers by a mile.  Even as a kid I found it to be silly that no one was ever shot in the entire history of GI Joe battles.  :laugh2:  If you didn't follow the transformers cartoons in the 80s then I could see you not liking the movie.  When it came out though, it was miles above the cartoon in terms of both story and animation.  I still enjoy it.

FYI, GI Joe hits theaters next summer.  Just saw a pic of Snake Eyes today.

I saw the pic which didn't look too bad, IMO.  Still, it will be a miracle if this movie is any good.
