MAME ROM Question (No, I'm not asking where to get them)
« on: March 18, 2008, 01:41:45 pm »

New guy here.  In terms of the ROM set, my understanding is in order to run MAME you need the ROMs, the CHDs (if you want to run the games that use CHDs), and the BIOS files.  Is that correct?

Wow!!!  I'm smarter than I look!   8)

I know the CHDs go in subfolders under the ROM folder, but what about the BIOS files?

I'm not aware of any bios files. (But I'm an idiot)
I have the complete rom collection and everything plays fine.

Neo Geo games require a bios.
