Im having some problems trying to light some cold cathodes and fan LEDs using a PacDrive.
I have four twin 4" cold cathodes, each set runs of an inverter requiring 12v. I also have two 80mm fans which also run off 12v.
I have connected each of the positive leads from the fans/cathodes to a 12v supply and I have then connected each of the negative leads to the PacDrive (ports1-6).
I have configured the PacDrive with LEDBlinky but I am having problems lighting fans and cathodes. I cannot get the cathodes to light at all, I can however get the LEDs in the fans to light but they are ever so dim, barely visible in fact . Changing the intensity in LEDBlinky does not make them any brighter/dimmer until I get to intensity 0 which obviously turns them off. The fans are not spinning either, you can see them twitching slightly when they turn on so it seems that they are not getting enough power.
Any idea what the problem can be?
If I remove the negative leads from the PacDrive and connect them to the ground of the 12v supply they all light/fans spin. so I know they work.
I have also tested the output of the PSU and it is 12v +-0.1v
