quick! original tron joystick below panel dimensions?
« on: March 13, 2008, 09:18:44 pm »
I might have an opportunity to go buy me an original tron joystick in about an hour from now, but I'm not sure if it will fit in my cp. I'm afraid it may be too deep and hit the bottom of my cp.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the under-cp part of it? Depth (front to back) and height (top to bottom) are what I'd like to know.

I'd be very grateful!

Your watching the same one I am on Ebay.  LOL.  I have a HAPP heavy duty that is 4 1/4 from the bottom of the mouting plate to the bottom of the center stick.  It is like the TRON one I am told.  What do you think it will go for?  I think in the $90 to $110 range.  Too much for me.  I would like to get a set of handles to put on my HAPP but I have seen them go for $80 or more.

Minimum clearance for depth would be 4 inches.  It's also about 4 inches wide (square).  Good luck.   :)

Thanks guys. Not sure I'll be able to make that work. I'll have to do another set of measurements just to be sure though.
