Question about T-Molding.Com
« on: March 10, 2008, 06:07:04 pm »
Hi does anyone who has bought from t-molding.com have a rough idea of how long a delivery takes to reach us here in sunny UK. Im guessing it'l take a while but just wondered how long i should wait before i start sweating that its not gunna show. Got miself a nice order of chrome t-mold and cant do a damn thing with the build until it turns up with the trusty slot cutter.

Can't answer your question, but I'd like to see your cab design.

What prompted you to go with chrome?

Mine took 8 working days, I imagine 3 days were spent traveling from Dublin to Kilkenny ::)
Irish snailmail is really slow.

Had some trouble with ordering the t-moulding due to the zipcode thing not matching the cardholders address, we don't have zip codes here so this is a constant problem ordering from the states when the zip is mandatory. T-moulding adjusted their online ordering page so the order could go trough when I contacted them.
Great service.

Hey Pops T

Thanks for the reply, hope mine comes soon, my worry is that i payed by paypal so im a little concertned wether they even know ive payed. Im sure evrything will be fine.

Hey SavannahLion

Unfortunately i dont really have a design i can post so i will describe wot i can (hopefully get some worthy pics posted in next few weeks )as i am using  cardboard templates.

Ok my first hurdle was i live in England , 2nd hurdle was we all have tiny houses here so full size cab was out. but not a slimline cab so my design still stands as high as a normal cab eg pacman but has a depth to the wall at deepest of 35cm (all thanks lcd monitors). The CP is basic due to size restrictions standard 2 joy 6 button each start credit etc (these are lit buttons). The reason for chrome t mold is that as the rest of the cab will be black except cp and marquee and buttons so i wanted colours that would basically fit in with any coloured room i put it in + i think it gives it a bit more of a modern look . The plan is to use different kinds of black eg mat black, gloss black, Textured black etc to create contrast without changing the colour abit like the new lcd tv's with the shiny black fronts and screen with the chrome trim  (thats the kind of look i want to achieve particulary for the screen and bezel).

Anyway thats a breif description if it all comes together well i'll get some pics up

I second that.  Reliable and honest.  I ordered some t-molding and ordered it 2-day mail, and I got an e-mail back telling me they had switched it to normal USPS because they were so close to me it would take a most 2 days, saving me a decent amount of money.   Honest and reliable company.

Well guys you were right the shiny chrome t -mold is sat in front of me and it only took a week to arrive the only downside is ive was slapped with a £10 customs charge which i had no idea i would get but still a good price due to weak dollar.

At least i can crack on now

For how much dollars did you get T-mold ?

Usually there is a certain limit that you can import duty free, f.i. it's €20,- overhere.

I think my total was about 42 dollars not including postage i ordered 25ft of chrome t mold a slot cutter and arbour for the router. i guess i must have gone over the limit. not too fussed it just came as a bit of a shock.
