Asking for forgiveness
« on: March 03, 2008, 05:22:35 pm »
Remember this a s s h o l e
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=20544.0
It was me, i was ode1979, my intention on this wasn't bad, i can swear that, but i was having allot of problems in those days and i really didn't new how to act, so i just ran away and hide from goz who trusted me,theres nothing i can said that will fix that issue i had with him , but after i got busted (MR.SAINT BUSTED ME) i don't wanna run this time specially because this time I'm really trying to help people here by selling them something that may mean something special for them at what i think its a fair price.
I wont pretend I'm something I'm not, like in those day i tried to pretend i was a hardware developer, when all i did was bought that connection and didn't event new how it work at all, this time i grew up and i just want to help the comunity here by doing the only thing i can, buy and sell, i don't have too much programing skills neither hardware developing skills, all i can do here is find an old item for you and sellŽit too you, or i can sell you stuff that  is cheaper here in Mexico.
After all this blah blah blah, i just wanna say I'm really sorry and hope people can still trust me, I'm having a couple of deals right now and I'm being honest this time, I'm trying not to do anything wrong.

MR GOZ , all i have to say its I'm sorry, if i can makeŽit up too you just let me know.

WOW- First off your trade count is 0 ??? HUH

Anyone that has a hundred boards or so to sell a red flag goes up and I think wow !! If this guy is not a legit member or vendor how can he do it. There was a guy on here a few years back that took money from alot of members me included. So I NEVER EVER buy from positings like yours even if it is legit.

If it sounds to good to be true it is !

Hell you burned a few just by reading this post so why would anyone buy from you
again !
IF you are legit as you claim then you must refund all that were taken, if not then get off this forum--> thats just my 2 cents !  :hissy:

To be 100% crystal clear, were you lying about your real name before or have you been lying about your real name recently ?

I'm not sure that the answer matters all that much (it doesn't to me ... but maybe some others will want to trade with you), but since you have given at least one fake name so far in your dealings here (and apparently saw no need to come clean until saint called you out), perhaps you can clarify the reality.

i guess ill have to xplain:
When i was living at denver, i was an illegal alien, no papers at all, i was working under some guys named abel, i went thru allot of stuff there, too many problems, ill i want'it to do in those days was to feell i was part of something, thats why i lied about being a hardware developer but i was being honest with my adress and fake name, got into problem i didnt new how to handle, now im back at mexico, came here by my own desition, here i use my real name, Javier, and now im just trying to do something nice for the board, im not taking peoples money to steal'it, im trying to do someone a favor and at the same time do a favor to me too, this time im trying to do stuff correctly, thats why i got a bank acct, and now im paypal verified, if something goes wrong you wont loose your money.
i dont have 100s of boards, they belong to a dealer here at the city where i live, in fact i dont have too much money too buy what i want , thats why im doing this so i can get free stuff from him, wife wont let me spend too much money on this hobie.
If i do things right this time, i know people will trust me and when taht happens things will be a bit better.
Thanks for watching.

He sent me an PM stating he would refund the $50 when he can afford it. I'm assuming this is after he has some sales.

Gee you guys are kinda harsh.

Especially when the guy apologises and tries to make up.

We ALL make mistakes from time to time.

Granted once bitten twice shy, but are we talking about $1000s or just $50?

Come to Vegas and we can show you how to lose that $50 or $1000 just as quick.  And you can feel bad about it too later.  ;D

Seriously, when you enter into a transaction and you use paypal, and  if there was no product, you can claim a refund.  I've been duped several times, but I never hold a grudge.  Its usually my fault for being too dumb in the first place.

Denverlatino is saying sorry.

Nothing wrong about that.

It takes guts to own up and eat cowpie.   :applaud:

- but not enough to get anyone intelligent to send him another dime.

I mean come on people... the guy rips people off once, comes back and says "yeah I lied sorry" and tries to sell more stuff.  There are members here actually considering it?  Especially when his rationalization is "I was an illegal alien"?

I'm willing to forgive and forget. The $50 refund is more of a gesture than me needing the $50. The truth is it did take a large set of cajones for Denver to post this. It doesn't excuse the lies, etc, but hey we're all human.

Being human doesn't obligate rational people to continue doing business with a con man.  I figure he's lying now, too.

I didn't say people should buy from him. It wasn't an endorsement. The fact is he avoided me until Saint intervened. That tells me he prolly would have just run from his responsibilities indefinitely. I wouldn't recommend anyone buying from him, but hey we are all able to make decisions for ourselves and the fact that Paypal is part of the equasion makes it a little less likely anything shady happens. I doubt I'd see the $50 refund he agreed to, but if I do I will he will have redeemed himself at least in my eyes. We all F^%K things up from time to time.

Maybe he can't afford to refund anyone yet, but unless he does so, there is absolutely NO evidence to suggest that this time he's being honest. Talk is cheap. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Since his boards are $50 shipped I sent him a PM with a board as an alternative form of payment (suggestion). That should minimize the $ hit and well satisfy the debt. I don't need any boards but would be fine with one.

Too everyone that thinks I'm a scammer forever, ill just say that's wrong, i never scammed anyone but instead i screw things up and run away from Goz, besides that every deal i have made has Denverlatino , i madeŽit right, ask ninjaepisode about it, i got 3 more deals in line i ask them to post they're feedback once we finished they're deals, if i screw things up this time, ill simple re-found they're money , Cu's I'm not spending any of it until the deal is done, so once i start getting some good feedbacks i hope the board people can forgive me for my one done mystake and keep making bussines.

So let me get this right...You screwed Goz out of $50.  Now you want to sell/trade more...You've admitted to using fake documents...Hmm...

You say you have a bank account and thats why we should trust you and your new paypal account but you dont have enough money to refund Goz the $50. :dizzy:

But wait, we should trust you because you say you aren't going to touch our money in your paypal..

No Thanks..

By the way, to anyone considering this, Paypal will only give a refund if he has enough money in his accounts to cover the refund.  I still have a claim against someone from since December 2005.  I was awarded a refund, but they had no money in their bank account and then they closed their account so now I'm screwed.

You want to show that you have reformed, send the product and let the people pay after they get it and test it.

Please stop saying this. You are going thru all this effort so you can get some stuff for free yourself. Selling stuff at cost is " helping people out".

I did not know about the former incident where you ran off with some money and pretended to be someone you were not. I was only aware of the countless times you offered stuff for sale and then wouldn't follow thru.

I can't endorse you as an honest seller, but the steps you are making are in the right direction. Quite honestly, it is in your best interests at this point to pick out a few established trading members here who are interested, and ship your product out before payment. Then they can pay you upon receipt of product. Doing this with established, honest traders insures you won't be ripped off, and everyone else will know that your are sincere in following thru with orders this time.

...refound his money...

Is "refound" Mexican for "scam again"?  ;D

Mexican is a nationality, not a language.

A few months ago I went to San Jose.  Came back with a wicked sore throat... went to the doctor, got a throat culture done.  Two days later doc calls me with the results:  I picked up Mexicans.  Gave me a prescription for amoxicillan and it went away in a week.

:applaud:

I agree with you in most points (to give him a second chance, etc.)......but buying stuff from forum members should not be like playing in Vegas "If you're lucky enough you get something for your money or you don't" ;)

He's lied and taken money from members in the past, now wants to do it again?

Did anyone look at the thread he so thoughfully provided?
He's turned over a new leaf so many times it crazy, and yet people still want to give him money?

Here's a quote from 2004
Quote

"All i wanted to do was help people, please forgive me, I'm all better now"

Am I the only one that is seeing the same thing again?

Sorry for the rant, the same thing is happening over at KLOV with another person that does the same thing..

The only way a person like this can scam people is that the victims are too greedy.  They want something so cheap they're willing to take the risk.  Really, they are victims of their own greed as much as they are of guys like this guy.

yeah theres no way Id ever buy anything from him, until he maybe tries again with a new account name and no one discovers who he is till its too late.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Don't say that..... I'm actually hoping to see him pay me back with a jamma board. Of course I'm at the bottom of his list of people to take care of. I just hope nobody else gets screwed.
