6 button control panel layout
« on: March 09, 2002, 01:24:33 pm »
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for a good diagram/example for a 2 player 6 buttons each control panel layout, Street Fighter 2 style. I've made a few sketches for it but none of them seem quite right and obviously I don't want to make the thing and it not be perfect. Call me picky.. Thanks

There are many examples, and a whole thread started on this subject.  Here's mine:

Here's mine:

Check LuSiD's http://home.earthlink.net/~seanhat/arcade/

And this site has the actual Capcom layout, which I based mine off of:
http://home.cfl.rr.com/expression/joystick.html

You can download it and print it out.

Good luck,

"So, you took apart a joystick to make...another joystick?"

Yeah, that's what I was after thanks. I might tilt the buttons diagonally a bit to make it easier for Neo Geo games but apart from that it's perfect. Cheers!

If you like the arched look and feel, check my cabinet out at my site.

I like the feel of my CP, but, in the long run, I think I would prefer the horizontal SF layout for authenticity.

Just my .02.
