Controller PCB help
« on: February 24, 2008, 11:12:30 am »
I have decided to build 2 joysticks for birthday presents.. one for playstation2 and one for xbox360.. I know how to wire buttons and joysticks. The controllers are going to be used mainly for the classics I think.

what kind of controllers are the best to solder to?
what kind of joystick should I use (4-way?, 8-way?)

thanks!
Current projects: IIDX Doubles Deck, Playstation2 joystick, Xbox360 Joystick

I suggest you peruse through this thread from Shoryuken.com  It goes over all the different controller models, which versions are easiest to hack, and has good images of where the contacts you need to solder are.
