ugh - those old laserdisks are a crapshoot - maybe they are good, maybe they have tons of rot.

I agree with the last poster.  You need confirmation that the entire disk plays without any signs of laser rot.  I purchase a dragon's lair and space ace from ebay.  Dragon's Lair was in good shape, Space Ace was so bad with laser rot that the laserdisc player would not play it all the way through.  I learned my lesson the hard way.
