Smoked Plexi: Is this a decent price?

Is that a decent price for a sheet of smoked plexi?  It's being used as the top for a cocktail..

I'm also curious:  Is plexiglass scratch resistant?

Well, for $6 more, you can get a sheet of tempered glass (which is scratch-resistant) from onedayglass.com ... I shall be placing an order from them myself tomorrow :)

I have a sheet of plexi that is quite old, and looks horrible; full of 'swirlies' and scratches.
So a leper walks into a bar and as he gets his beer, a finger falls off. The bartender who is serving him turns and pukes all over the place. The leper, feeling bad, says, "Was it my finger falling off?" The bartender turns to him and says, "No, it's the guy dipping chips into your back."

That's all I needed to know!

But I also wanna know this:  Will glass shops cut a piece of glass that YOU bring them?  And can tempered glass be tinted/smoked??

Well, onedayglass has a few tinted options (I'm going for the light grey), plus there's no glass shops around in my podunk town :)

Only problem with getting tinted tempered glass with them is that you can only get the 1/4" glass in the SUPER dark tint.  I think that may be too dark.
