Plans or dimensions for cabinet needed
« on: February 17, 2008, 09:18:59 am »
Hi

I've decided to do a very basic and small cabinet for my first attempt.  I'm looking for plans or even just the dimensions for the following cabinet:

Not exactly what I wanted, but I'll ad my own modifications to it, just need somewhere to start.  Can anyone help me out, even if I have to pay for it?

Thanks

Zobeid

I haven't seen that one before, it looks pretty nifty.  Looks short, though. . .  I wonder if you have to get a stool to sit on, or if you could put the machine on a little pedestal.  (I've seen the HanaHo ArcadePC Ultra Mini cabinet set up that way.)

I'm strongly considering something derived from this:

http://www.koenigs.dk/mame/eng/index.htm
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=76150.msg791177

If I've interpreted the drawings right, it's only about 25" wide by 24" deep.  That's not much floor space to sacrifice.  The website has basic dimensions and some photos from its construction.

Also, here is a place selling "cabaret" style units. . .

No, just looks short, perfectly fine for standing in front of it.  The reason why I'm going for this one, is because they're the types of cabinets that we get in our arcades, so it's the same ones I played on years ago.  Almost exactly as the mini mame one, just bigger.  ;-)

The Project Mame one in your post also looks really cool.  Might consider looking into that as well, it also doesn't take up lots of space.

I've had a look the the jakobud site, couldn't really find anything I like...
