Video Card Topic
« on: February 14, 2008, 10:19:13 pm »
Does anyone know for a fact if a PCIE16 card and a PCI card can co-exist as two separate displays in Windows XP?  From reading and googling, sounds like a PCIX-1 and an AGP card can co-exist as two separate cards and displays in Windows XP without one disabling the other.  Have not come accross anything concerning a PCIE16 and PCI cards co-existing.  If this is possible, this is going to be my last option before I build another PC for jukebox play while another PC for emulation.  Thanks,

I have 2 PCI-E cards in my main computer. I think I may have an old PCI video card laying around somewhere. If I find one, I will throw it in and see if I can get video to display on both types of cards at the same time. I think that it "should" work, but we will see...

Nice to know that you can utilize two PCIE cards.  I am assuming these are PCIE-16 cards and that they are not daisy chained to gether but act rather as two separate individual displays.  For sure keep me posted.  I have been hunting around for a PCI card around the house and friends and believe it or not, those cards are hard to find.  I may end up buying a cheap card.  Nothing to fancy.  Only need it to work with Jukebox display.  Well, let me know how it goes.  Thanks,
