"Your computer might be at risk" - Make it STOP!!!
« on: February 14, 2008, 07:05:58 pm »
Anyone know how to keep that little balloon from popping up?  It makes me lose control of my cabinet via the admin buttons and I have to use the mouse to do anything.  I boot straight to the last game played but whn it loads the little ballon pops up and I can't use my "Exit" button to go back to the list of games and the front end...

Thanks!

Control Panel -> admin tools -> services

one of the services is the security notification thingy... disable that service and windows' annoying warning disappears.

there are also other services you can disable and make your pc run faster. one that is a must is the serive allowing remote users to change your registry... seriously microsoft, talk about a target for hackers!!!

Are you talking about the "Security Center" warnings? If so, go to Control Panel > Security Center. On the left click on "Change the way Security Center alerts me". Then, in the "Alert Settings" window which appears, uncheck all three boxes and click "OK."

That's the "official" way of disabling those warnings.

Hit the power button.  It won't pop up at all then!

Doesn't the balloon have an 'OK' button on it? If so, press your 'shift' and 'enter' buttons on your layout.
