On my MAME machine i put the flippers and tilt buttons on left and right, and a center tilt button so i can bump it with my hip.  I use player two joystick down like the plunger.

Another cool way to do the plunger is to invert a button inside the cab and use an actual pinball plunger and instead of the plunger hitting the ball it hits the microswitch..

Just a follow-up to this thread, I have finished my machine and have posted a bunch of news pictures to my site.... Who would have thought a 6 months old son could take up so much of my hobby time :) .... anyway here is the link to my project-

I have one more last round of photos to add, but should hopefully have them up tonight or tomorrow..

Questions, comments, etc.. are always welcome!

Great Job.  I've been wanting to make one for a long time but I'm too lazy to research and build one.
It took me 2 years to research & build a MAME machine and now I have a newborn so I don't anticipate having any free time for a while.

How do you select different tables, are you using a frontend?

RecycledPast that scaled down arcade cabinet looks good. You should add more pictures to your site.
