how to test optiwiz/steering wheel ?
« on: February 13, 2008, 01:32:40 pm »
Is there a way to test an optiwiz / roadblasters steering wheel without mame ? Just replaced the optiboard on the roadblasters side, just to make sure it wasn't that.

I've tried it on my vista and my xp machines.. HID mouse shows up, but I can't get any response or anything. I'm using mame32 and made sure to enable mouse, dial mouse, etc settings, but still nothing.

Would I be able to see the mouse cursor move in windows ?

Please HELP :)

Your mouse should move left and right in windows.

sheesh, not even getting that much  :banghead:

I suppose it could be the wires.. even tho they look in decent condition.

under mouse properties -> hardware, it lists two mice.. my regular one, and the HID-compliant one.. under the Device Properites for the HID, it says Location: Location 0 is that right ?
