not sure what this means --> "what video monitor to output to"
Are you asking which jukebox software supports dual monitors where one monitor can be used for the jukebox software and the other monitor can be used for displaying the video?
Let me provide some background as to the equipment I have and if possible how I would like to have it setup. I have built an upright mame cabinet. I have 1 PC with 2 soundcards and am still trying to get quicksoundswitch working with the soundcard switching but that is another issue. I have an ATI 2400 Pro card installed with a VGA and DVI output connector. I have a 21inc CRT plugged into VGA and the 15" Planar touchpanel plugged into the DVI. The 21" reads as video1 and the 15" reads as video2. I am using Mala at the moment as well for my mame frontend. Below is how I would like the software to work but am not sure if it is possible at the moment.
1. Windows XP boots up
I am going to try to use dos commands with the quicksoundswitch executable to change default audio card after mala starts and before jukebox application starts so I can utilize both jukebox application and mame (mala frontend) game play audio at the same time.
2. Mala autostarts upon auto logon within windows. (this can be setup within mala and or with quicksoundswitch executable dos command switch)
3. Jukebox application autostarts upon auto logon within windows. (this can be setup within mala and or with quicksoundswitch executable dos command switch)
I was wondering if there was a jukebox application out there that is designed for use with a touchpanel that would allow the application to be run on a specific display without me moving the jukebox application over to the second monitor via expaned desktop settings? So once the jukebox application starts, any video related to jukebox would be directed to the touchscreen monitor (2nd display) automatically via a setting configured within the jukebox. I have a mixture of mp3 and mpg, avi videos as well. I am sure at some point I will have to modify the naming of these songs and videos in such as way that is supported by whatever jukebox application I decide to use.
I have tried out the PCJukebox and really like the layout and navigation but that software package is a big memory hog. I have close to 150Gig of music and videos so whatever application I use will have to support a large amount of mp3's and videos.
Unclet, I have downloaded your Jukebox this morning and will hopefully have a chance to play around with it sometime within the next day or two. Not sure if your Jukebox will do what I want it to.
I have even done some search on a standalone application that will allow for management of applications to be specified to use specific monitors but no luck there. Any information would be of great help. Hopefully I provided you with enough information to have a general idea of my setup and how I hope everything will work eventually. Thanks,
