*SOLD* - The CLEANEST Super Neo 29 MAME Machine... ever ;)
« on: February 12, 2008, 01:56:27 am »
You may've seen this in the project forum, and now it's on ebay. easily one of the cleanest mame OR candy machines you'll ever see, hands down. the jamma connector is still installed, and in perfect condition. the cabinet itself is 100% original w/ no yellowing at all. The only physical mods done to her would be the custom control panel, the pushbutton start on the backside, and the pinball buttons added to the front and side of the deck. the monitor/marquee, computer & speaker power are all connected to a surge protector located inside the cabinet, with one plug running out of the back... allowing you to use just one outlet to run the machine :)

Here's some specs:

  • Cabinet = Super Neo 29 (Japanese Sitdown Style) w/ working keys and locks + original user manual (still in plastic).
  • Monitor = 29". No burn in, and looks perfect!
  • Marquee = Lights up beautifully, and looks great! Slides off to insert your custom art very easily!
  • Controls = Custom drilled (vinyl covered) panel w/ Happ Competition Joysticks, Happ Translucent Blue Pushbuttons, and Sanwa Player Buttons (all parts brand new).
  • Coin Door & Mech = Works perfect w/ qtrs or tokens + I'm including 100 MAME tokens from BYOAC.
  • Speakers = 2 Stereo speakers that work great! I added volume control, located inside the coin door.
  • Computer = Dell GX270 w/ 2.6ghz processor & 1gb memory w/ 200gb hard drive.
  • J-Pac = Installed to allow the arcade controls & monitor to work with the computer (duh).
  • ArcadeVGA = Installed to allow the monitor to work on the computer (duh).
  • Pushbutton Start has been installed on the back of the unit allowing you to boot up/down with ease!
  • Artwork = All artwork was installed less than a month ago. VERY clean & professional by mamemarquees.com :)
  • I'm also throwing in 2 folding stools that match the cabinet perfectly!

And here's some decent pics of her:

I wish i could keep her  :dunno

Nice cab. I've always liked these machines but any of those moulded plastic/metal machines cost the earth over in the UK. If I had the time to build a new one just for my own use, this is what I would go for.

Out of curiosity; reason for sale?

  • What does that even mean?
That's a pretty cabinet... if I was still single and living in SoCal I would be all over that!

Good luck!

God I want a Super Neo 29... I'll get one someday (I hope).  It doesn't help that most are in CA and I'm here in NJ.

Great looking cab, good luck with the sale.

  • Mmmmm.... Donuts!
DAMN... That cabinet is sick.

I was lucky enough to find a guy giving a MAME'd jaleco candy cabinet away for $250, came with pc and jpac installed. The control panel is pretty hacked up but I looking to restore (hopefully like this).

But I was wondering what video card you are using? Is that FE mamewah?

it's running an ArcadeVGA card. works flawlessly.

the fe is a mamewah version, slightly modded to suit my personal prefs :)

thanks for the luck, dexter!

It definitely feels like a "black & tan" kind of weekend.

If I didn't say it before, good luck on the sale.
