High Score Saving
« on: May 19, 2003, 02:32:38 pm »
Whenever I am playing a game and set a high score, and turn off the game the game resets to it's default high scores.  I was wondering if there was anyway to automatically whenever i shut down a game save the state thus saving the high scores.  Is there anyways out there to automatically save the high scores and load them high scores back on start up again.

if its mame, you'll need to d/l the hiscore.dat and put it in your mame dir.

so is it just a case of putting it in the mame directory and all will work with the high scores or do we have to change some other settings too?

just add to mame folder.  Some games can't just save high scores.  Some, like pacman, need hiscores.dat
