Light Cycle-like games?
« on: February 02, 2008, 09:50:46 am »
Hey all!

Since Tron takes very specialized control to be able to have fun, I thought there
might be some rip-offs of tank and Light Cycle.

Am I that lucky??

 :)

Here is a nice tank game based on a few shots from the movie when Flynn was playing his machine.  It is a fan's recreation of what the game would have played like.

He also did Last Star Fighter, again based on the game in the movie.

These games are pretty awesome and very well executed.  The guy who created them is a hardcore fan and an absolute genius to say the least.

Light cycle similar games: MAWS maze/surround games list...

Tron 2.0 for PC has a great light cycle game, with power ups such as wall break, missile, extra speed, and more.  It has online play which is very fun, but slightly buggy.  You can play in first person and even create your own maps grids.

Here is likely the most accurate rendition of Tron Light Cycles.

I do mean to try this but...

LAST PAGE UPDATE:
2 September 2003

The creator was still referring to it as a WIP and buggy.  Don't have to upgrade though, as it's playable on a P200.  :)
