Opti-pac RS 232 -> USB or PS/2 adapter
« on: January 30, 2008, 01:29:58 pm »
I just bought a new PC for my Mame arcade and I just noticed that there is no RS-232 port.

I have 1 player controls (trackball, spinner, R/L buttons) hooked up to my Opti-pac. Can I install an adapter on the RS-232 cable from the opti-pac to convert to a PS/2 (mouse) or USB so I can connect to PC. The conectors appear to exists, I'm not sure if it will work OK or not.

My Opti-pac is from 2002. Not sure if it supports USB. I was hoping I could just buy an adapter locally.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks
