HELP! Guantlet Legends cab problems
« on: January 26, 2008, 03:17:00 pm »
Hi all- I bought a Gauntlet Legends cab from an arcade. It was completely working when I left the arcade, unfortunately I had to bring it back two hours and then get it up 10 steps into the house. I wasn't rough on it, but of course it took a few bumps along the ride. Now, when I power it on, I hear a "bong" and I hear the hard drive, all the lights come on, but the monitor doesn't. Not sure what diagnostic info. I can provide, as this is a first time for me. Anyone have any advice? I have no idea where to start  :(

I just opened it up and noticed it is a K7500 monitor and I do hear some very light ticking. Maybe it's just a monitor problem, but even after reading a few posts here, I'm not sure where to begin...is there an "easy" part to replace? Are there service techs to fix this stuff? I am local to MA if anyone has any suggestions at all, I am open to them.

Thanks!

Ok...new news...it's up, maybe it was just cold??? It's a little off-position, but I have the manual so I can figure out how to fix that. Any ideas on how to change the volume levels? This thing is loud  ;D

Most likely the volume controls are on the inside near the coin door...sometimes it is mounted right on the coin door.

No go, lots of controls for the monitor, but no obvious knobs or dip switches for sound/test modes, etc. Thanks though.

I found the manual online for you:

http://www.basementarcade.com/arcade/library/manuals/g/gauntletlegends.pdf

According to it, there are buttons for volume up and down on a bracket behind the coin door.  How many people did you have help you move that sucker?  According to the manual, it weighs 450 lbs.
