where to get cocktail panels
« on: January 23, 2008, 10:11:05 am »
First off. Does anyone knwo where to get control panels for a cocktail cab?

I've been working on a cocktail cab that I picked up from a member here on the forums (thenasty) about a year or so ago. The panels on the cab have been drilled a few times on the joystick mounting holes. I can post pics if needed.

I would like to get new ones if I can or if possible repair the holes.

Also if it is repairable, is the tin on the cp strong enough to hold a weld. I am figuring that I might be able to cut the bad metal out and weld in a new piece and grind it down. Similar to the way someone would do body work on a car.

Any help is apprecieated.

There are numerous CP repair articles, wiki entries, and threads.

Read the control panel restore pages. Good stuff there.

didn't even know about the restoration section of the wiki. thanks for the link.

anyone deal with www.arcadedepot.com. Noticed this through searching today and was wondering if they are legit. Would hate to find that they are run by slikstik or something.

I went to the wiki and clicked through some of the links. The sections with repairing control panels tells what someone would need to do in order to fill in some holes that are not needed any more.

In my circumstance, I need to repair holes in order to re-drill them. Does anyone have any ideas? I would prefer to repair them if I could at least for the sake of saying that I did it myself.
