LightGuns for a TV setup
« on: January 13, 2008, 09:48:39 am »
I have had a good read through the wiki and similar posts but I am looking for a definitive up to date answer. Although my cabinet is not quite complete I am trying to budget for down the line a bit and the first thing I would like would be a dual lightgun setup as an upgrade.
The screen is going to be a euro 25" Sony Trinitron TV connected by scart. What are my options?

Thanks in advance for any helpful replies  :)

act labs for normal usage and range or the lcdtopgun for a farther distance from the screen.

Ok thats great thought i would make sure. The LCDTop guns seem cheaper as well from what I can see. Will I get away with mounting the LED bars behind plexi or wil that block it?
Thanks for the help much appreciated.

i just set up two LCD topguns and they both can be used at the same time :)

the only thing is the aiming it is off, i was going to start a new thread but hopefully we can pick up here

-------
my 2 questions.....!

1) as you move your laser towards corners, does the laser and mouse cursor become more and more off? mine is and i am making sure that is normal...

2) i installed the guncon2 drivers and it seems to just 'work' as soon as the gun comes up.. do i still calibrate the topgun lcd guns like i would if i was using their driver, maybe that would make it more accurate..., maybe there is something else i need to change...  (the wiki on arcadecontrol has a install guide for lcd topguns, but it needs to be rewritten, it took me like 5 hours to get stuff even close to what i wanted...)
