MameWah Plus Latest Version Of Mame??
« on: January 11, 2008, 08:06:40 pm »
Just a quick question for anybody running the latest version of Mame with Minwah's last release of the Mamewah front end.

Basically is anybody running this configuration?? I've yet to try it, but if somebody else has and knows what is and isn't working for them right now, then please post. I'd be interested to hear of any pitfalls that I might encounter before I try it for myself.

The lack of documentation with Mamewah is always what has put me off from tinkering with it and trying out new layouts. It's kind of a difficult to wrap your head around getting it to do things.

Best Regards,

1st problem you will run into is that I believe you will need to get xml2info from krick

After that you shouldn't have too many problems.  Post in the software forum and people should be able to help you.

Personally, I've always found Mamewah pretty easy to configure.  You can get a system up in running by modifying like two or three lines, have it generate you list, and your done.  After it is running fine they start changing layouts, adding movies, screenshots, etc.

Yeah I should apologise for that really. I do have some sections of documentation done, but I really struggle to get the motivation to finish it.  As with most developers, I hate documenting stuff!  :-\
