Overlaminate - Lexan alternative?

After reading OSCAR's "Possible cp/cabinet covering alternative..." post I thought man it would be great if this stuff was clear, it's cheaper than lexan and easier to work with. Looking closer the website for the vinyl alterative lists its thickness at 10mil. I did some searching and found that Overlaminate has the same thickness and flexibility and its clear. Does anyone have experience with this and if so could it be used for this application?
