Any Donkey Kong Machines to Play Around Bradenton Florida?
« on: January 10, 2008, 10:05:32 pm »
Hi all!  I'm in Bradenton Florida at the moment on Vacation and I want to go play Donkey Kong but the few places I found that might have it either don't have it or it's not working at the moment.

There's

Bradenton Arcade
5854 14th St W
Bradenton, FL 34207
(941) 739-1800

But apparently that's not an arcade...

Then there's

Old Farmer's Creamery
2531 4th North Saint Petersburg, FL 33704-2805
(727) 896-2827

But their Donkey Kong is not working at the moment.  Apparently it needs a fuse and she doesn't know where to get one or where it is on the machine.  I offered to come fix it if they set it on Free Play, but she said her husband works on the machines.  Get a damn fuse then!!!

Last but not least there is

Ellenton Ice & Sports Complex
5309 29th St E
Ellenton, FL 34222
(941) 723-3663

They have one of those multi-machines that has a billion games in it.  I'm pretty sure I found someone saying it was on there, but who knows if the machine has it or not, and if the joystick is even a 4-way.  Plus the quarter per play on that machine would seriously not be worth it.  I really want to play the real deal if I'm going to drive out and about on my vacation for it.

BTW:  This site was very helpful when trying to locate particular games:

So I ask, where oh where can I play one???  Can anyone help me out?  I'm leaving this area after the 15th.

Thanks!
-Brett
Everybody, even Grandma, games. Meaning, checkers, cards, if not now, in the past.  Show me even a frickin' nun or hermit who hasn't done cards or checkers. -Mark Alpiger
