Trackball Mounting Plate
« on: January 10, 2008, 08:33:47 pm »
Does anyone know how thick it is? I was just wondering because i plan to make it flush with the rest of the wood.

Thanks,

Well, the thickness varies a bit on the orange peel one.  Best to wait and measure the one you're going to use.

Best,

Like pcb, it depends.  Usually about 1/16" (3/64" to 3/32"), but wait until you get your mounting plate.  Then rather than measuring the thickness with a ruler, just put your plate on a flat surface, and adjust your router so its body rests on the plate and the bit rests on flat surface.  Perfect depth.
