Light Gun Newb Here

Hey Everyone, new to the forum and in a rush because i want to return some light guns i bought if anyone has some tips (30 days to return them)


I just built my first cabinent and it features two act-labs guns I bought.  First of all there are no disks that it comes with, i had to spend  about 200 dollars for both guns and both 'controllers' (the things that plug into the VGA monitor and then USB to my computer).

 The problem is... I am only using one gun right now, and its shooting like two inches high.....  I just feel like if it costs 200 dollars i should be getting my moneys worth.  I then came across the TOPGUN light gun online and it seems to have some support to actually calibrate rather then just the stupid switch on my act-labs gun.  I have just been watching some youtube videos to see what I want.

Questions
Has anyone else had problems with their act-labs guns?  I was very dissapointed that it didnt evens hip with a manual or fancy box at least to show that they even care, then it shoots like 2 inches off my vga monitor ,,,,

2nd question
Can i have two TOPGUN guns or only 1?  the act-labs having dual gun working was huge for me, but i mean if i coul have 1 gun working great for 50 bucks rather then2  guns working crapily for 200 bucks, ill problay just switch to the 1 gun topgun

Never had any issues with Act labs guns. The only complaint I could say is they feel a little fragile.

What woud you expect to see in an instruction manual? Everything you need to setup the guns is on the their website....why print an instruction manual? And why print up a pretty box that is going to get thrown out the next day? Lame

The thing with the Top Guns is they have to have LCD bars near the screen (much like the sensor bar on the Wii)....so now you have these ugly LCD sensor bars on your pretty cabinet

can i use two topguns at the same time?

the only reason i was talking about the box, as I would expect
just expect the company just to take pride in their product
and just include a list of games and products that their product works with

Act Labs is an internet based company which to my knowledge does not sell retail.

The advantage of being an internet based company that does not sell retail is that you don't have to spend a whole heck of a lot of packaging....ever get an IPac from Ultimarc that had a fancy box and an instruction manual? Nope....yet Andy's products are among the best out there.

Packaging and instruction manuals don't mean squat.
