easy way to reset 'input (this game)'...?
« on: December 31, 2007, 01:07:03 pm »
i changed the p1 & p2 buttons on a keyboard so my brother & i could play joust...now i am trying to set the p1 flap button back to left control...only it's making it register as left & right control...resulting in having to push both left & right control buttons in order to flap...highly annoying...

any help would be appreciated...thanks...

Did you change it globally or for just that game?  for the p1 flap button, highlight it, hit enter, then escape.  it'll put it to nothing, and then press enter, then the button you want it to be.

Sounds like you only needed to reset one button for the Joust configuration ... however, if you really want an easy way to reset all mapped controls back to their default, then I believe you could simply delete the "C:\Mame\cfg\(rom).cfg"  file .....
