Emu Browser, a versatile, free software utility
« on: December 30, 2007, 01:23:14 am »
Hi, I've created a software utility, Emu Browser. Emu Browser is a run-of-the-mill program and document launcher. However, it's a bit more versatile than many other launchers because it allows you to design launch screens in much the same way a webpage designer would design web pages. You then load the launch screens into Emu Browser, and you click on hyperlinks to launch the programs and documents.

Emu Browser can be downloaded at my website @ http://www.nonags.org/members/phillipsassano/.

Emu Browser can serve various purposes only some of which are related to video games. It could possibly be used as a no-frills frontend for emulators that lack one.

I'm trying to get the word out about this program because my website isn't going to there for much longer. The lease is up soon, and it's a waste of money I don't have to renew. Once it is gone, the program will be hard to find.

I'm new here so I will introduce myself in the event that anyone cares who I am. I am the author of the program. I'm also a long-time arcade maniac at 36 years of age. I read the BYOAC book last year.  Great read. Well, that's all I've got for now.

Thanks for the info and files. It's nice to see people making even their most basic app creations available to the world. Someone somewhere will find them useful!

I agree. Some people get too caught up in fullscale software packages. Smallish, simple utilities are great. There's power in simplicity.
