Hacked and Wired up controller encoders for sale.
« on: May 14, 2003, 02:35:02 am »
I've a bunch of encoders that I can sell off. The prices are calculated based on the donor controller and the labor/expertise to hack/wire it up.

You get the bare board and the wires hanging off of it and ready to wire up to your arcade controls.

Microsoft Xbox - $45
Generic HID driver USB - $20
Capcom gameport 6 buttons -  $15
Sony PlayStation Digital - $25
Generic PlayStation Digital - $20
Sega Dreamcast - $25

This is the best way to get into building your own controller. I've a few too many and I can sell some of them off just to get my labor back.

You also get the wire code to know what wire goes where. Check out my site or Email me.

Is the DC one a 4 or a 6 button? (triggers)

The DC encoder is a Sega Brand encoder. It's hacked into very professionally. It's uncool to get into a price war on my own thread but my work stands for itself. I work for Capcom and I know what I'm doing. Check out both of our sites and compare the work.

Yes it has the D-pad, 6 buttons (including the triggers, set to digital) and the start button for 7 butttons total. The VMU slots are also there so that you can keep a VMU inside of your sticks case.

Tested and guaranteed. I'll also email you the wire code so that you know which color goes where of course. No two wires are the same color as I use stock 15 wire cable.

Edit:
He may edited/deleted his post but I still think that under selling someone in their own thread is in bad taste.

I would buy one if I weren't so broke. I just spent all of my cash on a nice soldering gun...

isn't the soldering gun for hacking your own?
I got a decent Weller soldering station for $40.

I really like it... sometimes you can't beat Fry's
My Maxtor 120 GB HD for my Xbox... $79 after rebate....

Yeah it is for hacking my own... I don't know if I will be able to do the triggers though.

I love the soldering gun I bought! It is a Weller model 8200. I payed like 50$ (which seemed a little hefty), but I needed it desperatly.

Other drains of my cash are my new LCD monitor (it was only 120$!) and my new Lexmark Z65 Photo printer (or as I like to call them Crapmark)
