WTB Donkey Kong EPROMs
« on: December 17, 2007, 01:05:57 pm »
I need to buy some Donkey Kong eproms. I just broke the leg pin off of my 4-board style 5G eprom after pulling it to clean and reseat. Anyone with the proms or "the means"?

This website shows common Donkey Kong issues with eproms etc... also tells the type of chip for wich location and boardset...

http://www.brasington.org/arcade/tech/dk/

According to that site it is the 5G chip "2532".

Mike's Arcade sells the entire chip set for $50... http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=DKROMS

Arcade shop sells the single chips already programmed for $15.

http://www.arcadeshop.com/parts.htm

On that page search for "2532"

I have dealt with both of those companies before and they are both friendly and efficient.  Hope this helps.

Yeah man, no prob.

That website...

http://www.brasington.org/arcade/tech/dk/

explains how you can troubleshoot actual EPROM issues on original machines by manipulating the data of the ROMs in MAME and running the game in MAME.  I have used it to troubleshoot before.
