Excellent news. I was planning on getting the FTP access soon so this is great. Can you tell me what download speeds are like? I have an 8Mbps line.

It's pretty simple.  check out the faqs.  basically you edit your template to have a spot for the videos and then specify the path in mala's menu config.

Yeah, I read that, but what I asked was do the DVD sets that are out right now contain every game released for that system or are they incomplete, still being worked on?

They are complete US sets, but if there are any updates in the future you also have an ftp account that will have updates.

I may be being dumb here but I cant seem to find the MAME intro movies on the server anywhere. I could have sworn they were in 'Front End Videos' folder with the rest of the systems
