Personal Arcade Cabinet for Sale [US-FL]
« on: December 10, 2007, 08:43:57 am »
Hey guys, I'm selling the cabinet I made a few years ago for myself (after a lot of reading of this board :) )

It is a pretty decent system that I custom designed (though it's pretty standard).  It was made with expansion in mind (though I didn't do much expansion to it) and if anyone is looking to get a quick head start, this could be the way to go.

The one design decision I made that some people may not like (though some will very much) was to make the screen horizontal (not at an angle).  This lets it work as a TV.  We used this as an Entertainment Center in our back room and the cabinet protected the computer stuff and DVD player/TV from the kids.  A lot of work was put in designing it to work not only as an arcade cabinet, but also for the kids to watch movies.  The screen is set back and up a bit more than some (to make up for the angle change) and viewing angles were checked from the control panel so that you can see the TV from a fairly low angle sitting on the floor.

Anyway, I've really liked it but I need to make room for other things so I thought I'd come back to where I started with it and see if anyone was interested.

Here's the link to ebay where I listed it:

PS. If you have any questions, let me know.
