  • I want to Build My Own Arcade Controls!!
AnalogMame & FEs stuff--help!
« on: March 18, 2002, 01:11:30 pm »
Ok, I have been working out the controls I want, and have determined that I want multiple control panels. I have also decided that I want two trackballs, along with some other stuff (steering wheels, spinner, la la la...). So, I know I need to be running Win 98, and using AnalogMame in order to use multiple USB controls in Mame.  Here is where I have questions..which Front-Ends will support these features? Being that this will be in a cabinet, I would prefer to be non-windows looking if possible. I like Raging Dragon and ArcadeFX a lot, but I don't know if they will work with this setup.

Along these same lines, I would like to be able to set up my own categories for the games, plus eliminate clones (clutters things up too much). Any ideas or suggestions on this would be great.

Thanks !
Brian

Check out a thread in the software forum "Raging Dragon work with Analog mame?"  I'm haveing the same two issues.  Right now Analogmame isn't getting along with Raging Dragon or Emuwizard.  In fact, when you try to use these you get no mouse support at all.  URebelScum is who put together analogmame, and he said he was looking into it.
I'm also trying to gey my own custom catagories.  Raging Dragon will let you catagorize mame games through Catlist, but I don't believe there's a way to get U64 and Modeler roms in the same catagory as mame roms.   -Dr. J
