Bartop stand?

Looking to make a non-table stand for my bartop. Ideally, it'd be standing height of a normal machine, and possibly even incorporate a coin door so it kind of mimics a cabaret when its on the stand. The biggest challenge may be keeping it out of the way of the users feet while still keeping it stable.

I suppose if totally necessary, I could put on a hook to secure it to a loop on the wall, but thought I'd seek suggestions first.

Throw a  bag or 2 of 40kg cement mix in the base.
Sucker ain't going anywhere with those inside.

My not just mount it to the wall at the appropriate height.    Other than this I would be too worried it would flip over due to all the weight making it very top-heavy.

This theory is hogwash. You don't see Dolly Parton falling around all over the place.

If it were me, I'd make the base foldable or something.  Otherwise I'd be asking myself "why did I build a bartop in the first place if I'm just going to have a stand that will take up almost as much room when the top half is removed?"  Of course this is going the opposite direction of your question in fact making it harder to weight the bottom to keep it sturdy...

What I had considered was making a wall shelf. Something like this:



But more substantial to hold an arcade.

Just find a circular stand like the ones they use for gumball machines or build your own with a support for a table like this:



Which will make your bartop stable and portable.

Some great suggestions. I'm pretty sure I want to do a more traditional boxed base to it looks like a cabaret, though I do like LeapinLews shelf idea.

As bartops go, mines probably way on the porky side of the scale. Its 22" wide and about 26" deep, and  I'm guessing it's around 65 pounds. Portability was never a consideration. I just noticed the standups get played way more, which is why I want to do this.
