I thought I had a bad rom version in .120 because MAME was telling me when i loaded up the US version "one or more chd/rom are not correct.. etc" so i re-aquired them.. and installed a fresh version of MAME .121, Same msg i got....
.. however i looked on maws and said this was altered in 115 is that why i'm getting that msg? I still shouldnt though??
on the US version"one or more roms/chds are incorrect and might effect game play etc..."
No, it's a bad dump. Clip from maws (just below what were looking at):
arknoidu.uc 2048 de518e47 arknoidu bad dump b8eddd1c566505fb69e3d1207c7a9720dfb9f503 This means the original ROM was not correctly copied (aka "dumped") in the first place, and noone at mamedev has access to a non-bad dump. Someone with the original us version PCB needs to correctly redump the ROMs (and it needs to be verified). Until then, mame is letting use the bad dump.
Nothing else will fix the emulation, so mame gives that warning.
