I'm looking to purchase Ultimarc's U360's and I know it uses USB Connection, which is easy enough.."*or so i hope with the maps etc" my question is currently I have 2x joysticks that are daisy chained with my buttons. I want to know what to do with those microswitches if I disconnect them will they also break the chain in my "buttons"?  :dunno

*also any one have a video that they can embed so i can see the throw of the stick? thinking about going with "medium springs" and the circle restrictor plate

Well the only thing that's really chained I would imagine is your ground/common wires.  All you need to do is replace the the break in your chain left by the joysticks' departure.   Crimping new common wires onto quick disconnects is a relatively quick job, so I wouldn't worry too much.  The NO wires can remain on the buttons without issue.

(If you want to do it quick and dirty, you can solder/crimp/whatever the two orphaned wires together to complete the chain).

I have taken a quick video of my U360.  I'm using stock sticks with the medium springs and circular restrictors.  I recessed underneath my panel approx. 10mm, so it's almost like using the long sticks on 3/4" wood.

Sorry for the quality - it's a cheap, digital camera MPEG capture thing-a-ma-jig that likes to film everything "dark".  But it should give you an idea....

thanks for the idea and the heads up.. and also taking time to shoot a clip. Just next time use a flood light on your control panel .. :laugh2: haha

Currently i'm using ultimarc's mag-stick plus and I miss the "spring / and throw" so im gonna be getting U360's as for the ground etc and wires im not sure whats what I have stuff from an ide cable and the other is red I'm really bad with wiring but slowly learning. As of now everything is currently working, just my concern once I get the U360's I wanna make sure my buttons are working.
