Power down
« on: November 28, 2007, 07:45:54 am »
Right now I'm using Win2K w/ Mala as a front end.
Am looking for a way to shut the whole thing down
easily but "correctly" (ie. not the power switch)
w/o having to go into the Start Menu and select
Turn off computer then Shut down like I'm doing now.

Any suggestions?

Are you using ATX hardware? If so, what's wrong with the power switch? There is nothing 'incorrect' with that!  It will shut your system down in the same way as the start menu then selecting shutdown.

Yer right.  Guess I needed to try it.
For some reason I thought doing this would
cause my PC to go into Scandisk mode on startup.

I use MaLa on W2K too. When I hit ESC MaLa prompts with "Shutdown?". I think you can configure how that works from the GUI and then MaLa Exit tabs. I use a SmartStrip so the rest of the cabinet follows the PC down.
