Anyone use this setup? Looking for a neat simple speaker and amp solution for a UA II kit. this seems to work with 4 inch grills and sheild speakers. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Just my opinion, but for that price you could just get a nice 2.1 PC speaker setup instead.  As a bonus you'll get a subwoofer for proper music listening (and for thunderous Asteroids/Space Invaders background thumping).  ;D

I used those $50 logitech speaker setup with the sub, they sound fantastic, and the stands come off them so its real easy to place them into your cab whereever you want. I just duct taped mine, cant see them anyway

I've used the Happ amp and found it to be fine. It depends what you want from your sound system though. If you are looking for primarily gaming audio with some music use, then this is ideal. It's simple to mount, very robust and a easy to wire up. If you fit the right cones (3" or 4") into enclosures, you'll get a good sound with reasonable depth.

On the 2.1 side, I have only one experience and found the setup way too bass-heavy and severely lacking mid-range.

DUDE! get two car 6x9"s, a 300watt car amp with a built in equalizer, and a separate PC power system to feed the juice, and party on. Don't forget the EMF stuff though( it can mess with your monitor).

If your going to make a cab, "make it rock!"  :hissy:

I agree for that price bag a cheap car amp and some used car speakers.
My old user name was marlborroman13, but I kicked the habit many years ago!

I was looking at these http://www.qualitycaraudio.com/store/viewItem.asp?idProduct=17198

But I have a major concern. I will be using an arade monitor and these are car speakers which are not sheilded. How can I shield them properly so they dont interfere with computer and monitor??

check out boat speakers.  there are a number of choices.  price might be $70+ tho.  they are made to avoid messing with instrumentation.

klipsch 2.1 promedia, logitech z2300 / 2200 are nice computer speakers.   u can find the klipsch cheap on ebay refurb.

also if u want to shield regular speakers .. u just have to use bucking magnets ... u get the right size ones and glue/clamp them onto the regular magnets faced so they're repelling.  that's what oem arcade speakers usually do.
