I gave up on this game in the lower ocean king temple level. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to finish the level, and no guide I have seen has even mentioned the part I am stuck at. I've gotten stuck several times in the game, and I wonder how in the hell a 7 year old kid is supposed to solve some of the puzzles. Close the damn lid of the DS?? Why would I even consider that to solve a puzzle? It is supposed to put the game in standby? I'll admit it is a damn good game and I love it, but the frustration of getting stuck because of some strange quirk in a puzzle, yet being able to defeat bosses with ease kind of means there might be a bit of imbalance don't you think? I haven't even been hit by a single boss yet. I've never died, and have only been hit in general a few times because I get sloppy. If I try, I never get hit.

Anyways, if you figure out how to get past the lower dungeon level with the upgraded knights and the courage spirit spot on the floor (with only 5 courage gems so far), please let me know how.

PM sent .... thanks

Also, my wife just informed me my son lost the stylus for the Nintendo DS ......  I think he might need it for this type of game to make things easier.   Does anyone have an extra white stylus which fits into the system or know where I can get a cheap replacement?

You can buy them at any gaming store for like $2 for a pack of two.

heh, I kept getting pissed off and told the wife I was going to go look it up and I knew it would end up being something utterly simple, but impossible to actually work out with logic. Sure enough, I looked it up and told the wife "come check out this crap". I was impressed with the clever use of the ds, but also very irritated that a logical thinker would have never thought to pysically use the DS itself as a way to solve a puzzle. The wife "claimed" she would have thought of it if she was playing. Suuuuure... :laugh2:

Thanks for the tip for the stylus replacement ......

(EDIT)
I just called the GameStop store and they want $7.00 for a pack of two stylus' .... yikes .... so if anyone has an extra floating around, I would rather go that route if possible.

Use these keywords on youtube [name of the game] + "walktrough":

http://youtube.com/results?search_query=Zelda+hourglass+walktrough&search=Search

I used these youtube walktroughs for some problems I had during the game. Zelda Phantom Hourglass is really one of the best games on the NDS right now.

Have fun!
