Big red flashing button
« on: November 24, 2007, 01:59:37 pm »
I'm working on a project right now and I'm looking to get a big red button (the bigger the better), preferably one that can light up. I have an I-Pac to use with the button, and it looks like I can use a PAC-Drive to control the lights, so that side of things is sorted. Now I'm looking for a UK supplier of a big red button. There seems to be something suitable on the happ controls website but I don't really fancy paying loads for shipping. Does anyone know of somewhere I might be able to get something like this?

Nah not big enough. Looks like they have a 100mm one though ;D

Anyone ordered one of these before? Where can I get the lamps for them?

I purchased some of these and they light up. I think they use different voltage to light them but are the biggest I think. A little more costly but well constructed and lights well.

I believe Ultimarc is a Happ distributor over in the UK......

(correct me if I'm wrong please)
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.

Yeah seems like they are, but there's only a fairly limited selection. They don't have any large illuminated buttons.

What's it like getting things shipped over from Happ in the US? If the shipping isn't too costly it might be worth getting something from there.

Shipping has not been bad on buttons and the smaller items. Shipping on items like a retainer or bezel cost more than the item themselves.

I think mine shipped from Michigan. If you are in the states and just buying buttons or controllers that they can stick in one box, you should be fine.

If you have found what you want through Happs, then http://www.suzo.co.uk/ is the main dealer here in the UK.

I find them a great company to deal with, though their products all in PDF format.

If you want to go the "Happ" way, ask Ponyboy, he's cheaper on the part & the shipping and can get about everything that Happ sells.
