Transformer advice needed
« on: November 23, 2007, 01:54:59 pm »
Having some trouble finding out about transformer's for a power supply centre, out of the
link I have posted below which would be suitable for the job (UK voltage) If you have seen the Bob Roberts write up about it you will know what I mean, it sit's after the power distribution block and before the monitor. I probably don't need to use one as it's all new part's I plan to use but if it needs to be there I dont know which one???

Regards.

if you are talking about a mains isolation transformer then none of those are any good, that link shows low voltage transformers.
depending on the monitor you use depends on the need for whatever type of transformer.
outline what you want to do

I am using this well known diagram as reference for powering the jamma cab, I am pretty sure there is an isolation transformer on the PCB of the pentranic anyway so probably will not need to use one, I will need to confirm this once I get the new monitor.
