NullDC help
« on: November 23, 2007, 02:09:03 am »
Im trying to configure the controls for this emulator to be setup and the exact same for my MAME so I can use the front end to run it.  However the damn thing doesn't wanna recognize any of the buttons I am pushing.  Which inputs am I supposed to be using? Im using the first one in the list the NullDC controller, it lets you program the buttons in but I can't get passed the date adjustment screen.

I am pretty sure I read somewhere you need joy2key but have not tried it myself, perhaps someone else can confirm this???

Regards.

You need to setup the controller plugin and configure the keys/buttons before you launch any games.  Have you done that?

Also, you can use Joy2key or xpadder if you are using a game pad.

Here's how I set beta version 1.6:

1. Run nullDC_100b1_6.exe

2. Click on the "Options" menu item and click on "Select Plugins"

3. The "Select Plugins" dialog should popup

4. On the "Port A" tab, click the drop down and choose the first "nullDC Controller".

5. Hit OK and exit the dialog.

6. Click on the "Options" menu item again and click on the "Maple | Port A | Config Keys for Player 1" subitem.

7. Assign the keys you want.

Hope that helps!

mattorama is right, you need beta 1.6 for joystick support.

You need to setup the controller plugin

Nulldc does not have a controller plugin. You need to find another method.

As of beta 1.6 it does, I believe.
