Where did those AutoCAD controls go?
« on: May 09, 2003, 03:41:39 pm »
I wanted to redesign my control panel but I wanted to do it the right way. Plus I want to finally make some art for it, but I need the controls first so I can create a good layout. I remember a while back we had some AutoCAD designs drawn up for most of the basic controls, but I can't seem to find them anywhere on this website (in the menu or the boards).

Can someone point me in the right direction???

I drew up some commonly used controls in AutoCAD format.

Oscar...have you considered making a link to that page on your website, perhaps over where you have the links to things such as the LED circuit board?

Yes, this is something I am supposed to do...  I have a couple other items I would like to get linked, too, like the P360 vs. Super review.

I agree, those cad images are the cats azz.  I designed my new 4 player panel 100% with your cad images, imported them to MAX, skinned them, and had an instant to-scale control panel blueprint, complete with scale underlay graphics.   Based on the model, I was ablt to simply go out, select my lumber, measure, cut and assemble.  I think they are genius...testimony to someone who took the time to get the measurements perfectly to scale.  You know how well those panels turned out, as witnessed in your installation pages.  Cheers brother, and don't stop with the good ideas!

(Okay, enough ass kissing on my part, but I DO owe you a beer sometime)  :)

Thanks, Zakk!  I wasn't sure if you could import the dxf files into 3DS or not.  I'm glad you found them to be a timesaver.

My company has a manufacturing facility in Hamilton, so next time I'm up that way I'll stop by and take you up on that beer!  :)
