Happ Super
« on: May 09, 2003, 01:12:15 pm »
I just recieved my Super Joysticks from Happ and am not sure about a part that was sent.  When I went to install the joysticks I used the plastic collars that came with the joystick (one is for wood and one is for metal), and both of the collars did not set flat with the CP.  I'm using 1/2" MDF and 1/4" plexiglass for my CP.  I have thought about just cutting these peices shorter, but wanted some advice from those who have done this before first.

you shouldn't need to cut anything regarless of control panel thickness. Better check the exploded view on happs site to make sure you are assembling correctly.

One more question: does the black sleave suppose to cover the metal post of the joystick, or does it suppose to sit flush with the flat black washer.

Use the longer of the two sleeves.  Put that on the shaft first, then comes the round "washer."  Big end of the sleeve is up, next to the handle.

Thanks for the responses.  I'm now I little bit smarter and can move on with my CP.
