OK so, I got tired of hacking the PS2 dual shocks (man they are a pain in the butt, a-series soldierless, and h-series). So I went to my local video games shop and I purchased a 3rd party PS2 joypad, thinking it was going to be a piece of crab. But I was surprised to find that it is very easy to hack and it works with my converter (a dreamcast converter, haven't tried any of the others as they are being borrowed). here's the joypad am talking about, its a pelican which I got for $5 (If someone had already shared this then I apologize in advance). Here some pics of the hack, Only need one ground for all the buttons, Joystick glows in the dark.
