It's only been mentioned about 3 times here and 4 times in KLOV but anyway, it's a great machine.
Wish list: Galaga, Pacman, Pooyan, Star Wars cockpit, Gauntlet, Tron

And the Lord spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three.

The joysticks look angled to the screen so to me that kills it.  Also, a cold keg of beer seems like it will create a TON of condensation in the surrounding area - especially if there is a warm computer right next to it or in the general area.  I'd be worried about the computer failing after some time and rust on any exposed metal on the interior.  It's a neat idea in theory but I certainly wouldn't pay $2,000 for it.  Chances are if you have room for a huge stand up arcade machine you have room for a separate kegerator.

Yep, the design has been discussed around here a hundred times over the years... and generally those have been the issues.  You don't mix a fridge with sensitive electronics.

Pre-loaded with 187 licensed classic arcade games ... the Gamerator has everything from Tecmo Bowl to Pac Man, Street Fighter to Galaga, and 180 more games in between (see below for full list).  NOTE:  Buyer will receive the original licensed copies of all games listed.  These are not emulators or knock-offs, they are the original games.
  <I added bold for emphasis>

So if these aren't emulated or knock offs, the winner of the auction will be receiving 187 PCB's?  :dizzy:

It says it's using an Xbox so it's probably using licensed compilation discs.  Likely that you'd have to swap to get 187 games.

wow, lots of good points I never really thought of. I didn't notice it runs on an x-box. So not worth the $2000.00

The built in keg/fridge idea is "neat"...... but as already mentioned.... will be the demise of that cabinet one way or another. Heat condesation, drunk ---daisies--- trying to fill a cup, etc, etc.

I wouldn't even recommend the placement of the cup holders.
Something is bound to get sloshed acrossed the control panel.

I'd be more afraid of power spiking/dipping from a common power supply than I would anything else.  That will kill the arcade side much faster than condensation.  Fridges are hell on power circuits.

I would have to start punching dudes who reached between my legs for a beer while I'm hitting a hi-score.  That just ain't right.

"Hey, beer on tap?  Nice!  Where is it?"
"It's right here by my junk.  Reach your cup in."
"erm, okay"
"WTF, you just spilled beer all over my pants, dumbass"
"It's not my fault you clench your ass when you play"

I just don't want that conversation.

haha... SO true!   I bet this is an Xbox , 24" TV and an X-Arcade.  not that that's a bad thing but to say "not emulators or knock-offs, they are the original games."  Is an untrue statement.  If its running on an XBOX its an EMULATOR..

If the guy tries to refill one too many times, just make sure it's not beer when he pulls his cup back, maybe something warm?

Not quite. Judging by the game list, he has included every arcade and atari anthology available for xbox. The only real question is if they are just loaded on the harddrive, and if he includes the original discs.

Technically they would still be emulated as those discs run enclosed emulators.  That's just splitting hairs at this point, though.  They are legal emulators with licenses for the roms.

Hence the reason why they have Mortal Kombat 2 and 3, yet no one.

Funny thing is that the trackball is just there for looks.  It isn't hooked up to anything, but the buyer can connect it to the computer if you buy a trackball.

right.. that's the point I was trying to make..  Its emulation any way you look at it if its not the original PCB.

Not necessarily true.  Had they gone to the trouble of rewriting the original source and compiling it on the Xbox, or if they had an XDK compiler of whatever assembly they were written in, that wouldn't be an emulator.  The original PCB is not strictly required to run an "original" version of the game.
