You mean it's a pushbutton toggle switch as opposed to a momentary contact switch?
Thanks, I was looking for the correct name

Those glowing buttons are nice, but usually on arcade cabs, the power switches are countersunk and hidden from view.
Hey Namco,
you just made me think of an alternate use of that switch...
I could add a black and discreet momentary switch on the side of the CP (or an extra arcade button) that would be the power switch and use that one to turn on/off the 5V to the LCD topgun led bars and recoil power connectors.
(some people said that it might increase the life span of the led bar)
I'm going for the cigarette burned, bad conversion, with the oversized security bar look to my cab.
yeah, I love the look of these cabs

I don't understand... Isn't it being a pushbutton toggle a good thing?
The light stays on when the cab is on... goes off the when the cab is off... no?
Unless you want it only to light when pressed, I'm guessing?
Hello Organic Jerk,
My dilema is not about the light of the switch.
In fact, if I remember correctly there a ways to connect it so that it is always on or ON when the switch is ON. (that's a lot of ON...)
The way I understand how the power switch is working on a computer is that is is OPEN when unused and SHORTED when pressed.
I want to add a "computer/arcade" switch on the CP.
That switch will be connected in parallel with the actual PC switch.
So whenever I press the real or the CP power switch, I'll be able to
turn the computer on and off, without having to open the back door or coin door to have access to the real switch.
Now, the problem I have is I think my switch is a toggle switch.
So if I want to use it as a "computer switch", I would have to press it once
(so that the switch would now be GROUNDED) and then press it again to put it in the OPEN state.
What I need is a momentary switch (like an arcade button) that I would press until the cpu shut down and then just release it...
I'll check again tonight how exactly the switch works.
I was a bit surprised to see the switch stayed in the ON position.
I tried it quickly when a got it, but I guess, I didn't press the button all the way

Jay
