I found a fully-working original Donkey Kong machine in nice, restorable condition a couple of days ago. One of the things I need to correct is the joystick which was at some point replaced with the nintendo 8-way replacement stick you find in the Vs. machines, so it has the 8-way restrictor plate on it rather than the 4-way that should be there.

Does anyone know where to get ahold of a replacement for that restrictor plate? Or do I basically have to track down an original DK control panel used and borrow it from that?

If anyone's got a complete original 4-way, either restrictor plate or full original DK stick, send me a private message. Thanks for reading guys. I'll probably be back in here a lot again for a while now while I slowly work on bring this one back to full glory.

On a side note: My wife gave me "the look" the other day. Haven't seen that since the last time I started an arcade project a few years ago... :D

I have a Nintendo joystick in EXCELLENT condition that I'm not using. I can check to see if it's a 4-way or 8-way. Since I have another working 4-way for my DK, I'd let it go cheap.

If it's a 4-way, and mushmouth doesn't grab it, I am interested. I should just make a restrictor plate for it, but I never seem to have enough time anymore, so I am looking to buy.
